Facebook Gurus

If you have been researching internet marketing, Facebook marketing or social media marketing for more than 24 hours, you would have already seen several Facebook Gurus and consultants pop up on your screens with their own Ads.

(read about how they do this with “retargeting” here)

Some of them might be great. I’m here to tell you that a Facebook master alone won’t be the delivery girl or boy of your hopes and dreams.

A Facebook GURU is like the mechanic of a Formula 1 car. The FB Guru knows how to tune the machine, but the driver wins the race by getting to the finish line first.

There’s no secret that social media marketing has exploded over the last 10 years. When we have a hot industry or even a product like this, out come the gurus to take advantage of it.

To be perfectly honest, a good Facebook marketing guru will and should be more on top of everything that is happening, changing and being updated in the land of Facebook – even more than what I am.

To continue with the honesty, Facebook is not the single answer to your prayers. If you’re thinking all it takes is to:

  1. Get a website, display your product. And;
  2. Learn how to run a Facebook Ad, press “go” and you’ll make money.

I’ve got some news for you, it doesn’t work like that.

There are other skills that you will need to add to that two part list. What do you write in your Ad? That is called “copywriting” (not copyright, that’s different).

How will you know what image or video to use in your Ad, and what types of Ads should you use and when? These are somewhat easier skills to learn, and it comes with some trial and error. I’ve laid out some free tips for what images work best on Facebook here.

The new Facebook gurus who pop up are unlikely going to be able to take you to where you need to go. Like I said before, they might (and should) know how to tune your Facebook engine (run Facebook ads). But that does not mean by default, that they know how to take your business or take your product and deliver you 100 customers tomorrow.

Unless your chosen Facebook guru has been in the game for a number of years, she or he is probably going to leave you wanting more. There’s too many newbies who learn how to set up a shiny Ad, and then market this service to other people. Unless you’re spending $10,000+ a month on Facebook Ads, you likely don’t need someone to do this task for you.

How to Get Facebook Ads to Work

There’s a handful of components that go into a successful Facebook marketing campaign. The mechanics of how to run a Facebook ad are just one of them. You can learn how to set up a Facebook Ads by getting my free book here.

The book might not mean you can buy a new Porsche tomorrow, but I do go into a lot of details, probably more details than what the next Facebook guru on the scene will tell you.

If you are ready to go all in, and I mean jump all the way in and cover all the areas and become your own Facebook guru, the best thing I can do for you is to work with you one on one, if you want to do that just contact me through this website.

The next best thing I can do for you is send you a copy of my Facebook marketing course. I put everything into this course, and held nothing back.

Is it ironic that I just warned you about Facebook gurus, and then I offered you my free book and course? Absolutely it is. But you don’t have to get either, so what you do next is totally up to you.

If you’re looking to marketing you business, product or service online – it is important you learn the basics at a minimum to Facebook marketing. And also I think, you should take another step and learn all the aspects. Learn how the machine works, how all the pieces work together. My course does that for you, no doubt.

But don’t buy it if you think I’m just another Facebook guru.
